A 45-year-old female presents to the GI clinic complaining of epigastric pain for the last two months. She states that the pain is aggravated by eating food and it does not radiate to back. She has no complaint of nausea and vomiting. Her symptoms do not improve by over-the-counter antacids. She also has mitral valve prolapse with moderate regurgitation. The physician needs endoscopy to diagnose non-healing ulcer and Helicobacter-pylori status. The patient states that she is allergic to penicillin. Which of the following is the best course of action before doing endoscopy?

A. Prophylactic use of ampicillin
B. Prophylactic use of amoxicillin
C. Prophylactic use of clindamycin
D. Prophylactic use of ampicillin and gentamicin
E. Prophylactic use of vancomycin
F. No prophylaxis required

MVP with regurgitation is an indication of endocarditis prophylaxis in high risk procedures, most probably with dental procedures, normal GI and GU procedure does not require prophylaxis, right ben ?
