i have one doubt about colonoscopy screening. if single resected polyp is ca insitu with no spread,in how many years should be the follow up colonoscopy and what is the follow up if resected polyp is completely benign.

·If a polyp is found, the colonoscopy should be repeated after 3 years.

·When there are multiple family members, screening colonoscopy should be performed at age 25 and every 1 to 2 years (characteristic of persons with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (Lynch syndrome)

this q is in uworld

45yrs man with his father having/death due to a colon cancer at 63yrs.

uworld says screening is now and evry 10 years.
if family history is positive its evry 5 years rt?

anyone read this q?

Follow-up examinations for persons with family histories of colon cancer should occur at 5-year intervals.
