neutrophil-- the first line therapy for an acute exacerbation of COPD is steroids + antibiotics + bronchodilators. Although there is an arguement that people seem to be making for intubation, i have been trying to find any comclusive evidence for intubation and most literature seems to prefer Non Invasive Ventillations as opposed to intubation for treating most cases of acute COPD exacerbation.

If some has some concrete indications for intubation I would be glad to know.

Cheers!
