Well I was in doubt about applying or not... I dont have USCE in ophthalmology in the states, I have 1 year in my country. But no LOR from the states. So that's what stopped me.

My credentials are good, but... those LOR seem to be important.

how many programs are you applying to?

some UK experience

what do you think my chances would be

well the UK experience is important... they like UK/canadian experience applicants.

Hopefully good chances... did you do any rotations in the states?
As far as I have read, only 25-30 IMG's match every year, out of aprox 400. So that is a tough market out there... BUT.... im not sure how many IMG applicants are out there... so that's the real question... maybe the chances are good and you may be one of those 25-30 lucky matches.


My scores are 95/99, recent grad... no USCE in ophth.
