AGREE IT IS CONFUSING..

First just tell urself that CAD equivalent and Cad risk factors are two different issues.

CAD equivalent means that even though you may not be having cardiac sxs...but since you have DM, PAD, aortic disease and carotid artery dz......it is presuemed that u have CAD.

NOw risk factor is something that predisposes to CAD...that is LDl...
