plz answer my stupid question - beti

1. for usmle step3 day1 -7block-48 question per 60 min. am i right? is there any division of block like office or emergency or inpatient/


2 A. day2 mcq block first or ccs which one will i get first?
for ccs total time 25min *9 cases. 20 min management + 5 min last min window.
am i right about my concept?

b. how many question per block? how many block? how many min? --------day2 and any divition of question or mixed question for everything?

plz clarify all my question.

tats a sensible question...

u r right abt day 1
the blockd r divided into office and emergency... i had 5 office and 2 emergency set up..

day 2 ... 4 mcq blocks.. i had 2 office and 2 emergencies...
36 questions per block , and 45 mins for each mcq block

ccs cases... 9 blocks .. 20+5 min..

day 2 questions are not lengthy and r very simple and concise...
u can answer them very easily... jus hav to b a bit vigilant about the hidden clues in few ques..

thanx for reply. day2. which you will get first mcq/ccs?
36 question in 45 min. so there are no block of 24 question in 3o min like usmle cd?where you will get inpatient question

day 2 ... first r mcqs... i don't know abt mle cd... as i didn't go thru it...
but i had 45min blocks 4* 36 questions

Thanx a lot crystalmeth . did you do kaplan qbank? am i loosing some thing if i donot do that because of time.

well , kaplan q bank... i went thru it after exams... well it helps... i was in same situation , no time...

i didn't do any q bank... jus a few queations... well tat was a blunder... but if u don't hav time... well wat everyone suggests is to slove UW... even kaplan helps... depends how much time u hav
