some one with gunshot wound on chest and abdomen.... what u open first chest or abdomen?

depends which quad of abdomen.....and which part of chest left or right....
if right chest then i wd for abdomen esp with spleen involvement... if left chest then i wd go to chest first...but ABCDE first....I am guessing

Is the pt stable?
location,depth,..most GSW need exploration..

pt was unstable on left sid e of chest abdomen . .. person who told em did open chest first .....

if pt has hypotension and heart not involved and gunshot in lungs i wd open abd for spleen...spleen can cause major hypot...but again depends on location

I think Thoracotomy first if itis L sided and unstable....ofcourse youcorelate with clinical findings..
Maj vessls,cardiac involvement and abdominal organs...spleen,kidney ..

unstable ? you mean BP low or respiratory distress or something else?
