if you really want to become a Surgeon in the States and even if you have very good scores and LORs and if you really want to become an academic surgeon in a University Hospital in the States believe me it is impossible, I do not want to discourage you I am myself discouraged enough, ...., well of course exempts confirm the rule but if you look at the average statistics very good and competitive people do not get admission to it, and all these great eponyms such as ".....ships" are not anything more such as "shits" instead of "ships".
