To perform any test pre or post mortem you must have consent. No consent = no labs. Pt is no longer able to make those decisions himself. If he had consented before he died sure. But the blood whether drawn before or after death would have been given under consent for something else. To get proper consent in this case you have to get permission from his closest living relative or power of attorney.

the question is next step in the management of this situation.
I think BBBB. Because the physician need to explain to her about the benefits about the autopsy to determinate the cause of death.
performing the biopsy, confirming the suspected diagnosed( SAH or berry aneurysm, or AKPD) is the first step, if positive, then do a genetic test.
