Counsel about avoiding close contact and contact sports for few weeks if you suspect Infectious mono and spleenomegaly(abd Pain) is there.

Ms ....... let me tell u wat i m thinking. First, let me make sure i understand you correctly. You have had a sore throat for a ........, but have beeb feeling tired and low energy for ... weeks. Is taht correct? Wait for few secs
On your PE I saw that ur throat is very red, you have a lillte fever, and there is some tendreness in ur tummy. I think u have an infection in ur tummy.
Pat: I figured that. Coul it be strep?
Doc: yea. It could be . I d like to take swab to check. Also I would like to take a blood test to check for MONO (all college students know wat MON is). then we will meet again and disscuss the results. until next visit i d like you to not play any hockey or any contact soport/
Pat: Why I cant play hockey?
Doc: You might have some sweeling in the tummy from the infection that makes it easy to get bleeding inside the belly from a minor fall. just for a few weeks, hold off until you are better.
