FROM GENERAL SURGERY PROGRAMS THAT I HAD APPLIED ?
I APPLIED ON SEPT. FIRST.
APPLIED TO 74 PROGRAMS, I GOT 2 REJ. 2KNOWLODGES .LAST MESSAGE WAS FROM SEP 11...
SOMEONE HAVE AN EXPLANATION.I KNOW MOST PROGRAMS EVEN REPLY, BUT AT LEAST I GUESS I SHOULD HEARD FROM SOME(30-40%)...
PLEASE GETTING ANXIOUS..ANY GOOD EXPLANATION!?

I hope you didn't apply ONLY for general surgery, you will be really disappointed.
My dream was surgery till I completely gave up ( 2 lors from general surgery (1 being from a Dr I worked with for 6 months in my country and who is now the Program director of surgery in New Mexico)because of those americans. they don't like FMG anymore in general surgery.
BUT, never give up anyway especially if you already have training in GS in your country but know that even with a full training, it'll be really hard even for preliminary. just pray and cheer. I hope you did apply for preliminary and categorical, both the same time cause it's an advantage regarding GS, a way to show the PD that you are really interested.
