Hi guys I was thinking before coming to USA, Only corruption is prevalent in my country But residency is like white collar corruption in USA.
If you know someone then you have a residency sure at one point.

Can I ask whats the difference between a US LOR and a US reference?if u know someone then this is ur US reference!
both can be considered some legal keys to residency! its in the system though I believe contacts do nothing to help these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're wrong, know someone may get you noticed, may give you interview; but won't give you a guarantee position. trust me on this.

Of course there is corruption; it's not like your going to paradise. The system is controlled by humans who are tempted to do wrong and disgusting things. However, the level of corruption could be less compared to other countries. Guys, don't lose your head thinking about this, it's good to know that honest IMG and PDs are out there trying to improve the system which is degrading every year.
