EEE "Delayed Hemolytic Transfusion Rxn"

since the pt has chronic anemia he must have recieved and exposed to previously transfused blood and formed antibodies.Over the period of time these antibodies subside But upon subequent exposure they reappear(Anemnestic response--recollection) which takes Atleast 24 hrs and they bind to donor R.B.Cs----and this is why its a DELAYED -respose.

yes it is e ...history of chronic anemia so he must have previous transfusions ...minor anitgenic difference in rbc s of matched trasfused blood elicits humoral response which is usually mild but can manifest as increase in bilrubin and lhd....
