in CCS where we need emergency surgery like Appendicitis, ovarian torsion

we have to wait for consultation result and then order surgery ???
or
we can order both at the same time??

consult surgeon ( reason appendicitis)
appendectomy ( you have to mention the procedure after consult)

when you think it is needed to do surgery emergently like acute app. when you dx it, order general surgery or pediatric surgery consult and the prodeure will be lap/open appendectomy and pre op and send the pt to the OR, than the surgery consult will give you the OR report what they did , becuause generally when you ask for the consult , the consult doesn't give you a difinit ans unless you specify in your request in your consult what you need to be done.

consult surgeon
pre operative order
procedure itself

I think when ask for cosult ,they are going to ask you for the reason and procedure and on the same request you have to include those information
