yes for biopsy,forign body..
felexible is just diagnostic,means u can just c,nothng else

thats what i remember from ck too, but i just did a Q in UW. One about a guy having repeated rt mid lobe PNAs with scarring on imaging, smoker, older guy, supposed obstrction, must be Br. Ca and the answer was flexible bronchoscopy v/s CT (and that biopsy cud be taken via the flex br)

Only indication for rigid bronchoscopy is foriegn body
other all maneuvers are flexible bronchoscopy...BE SURE ON THIS

sorry to mention in bleeding too rigid..so 2 indications..rest all flexible
