@ puo when bile salt decreases , cholestrol receptor synthesis increases in liver which increase cholestrol level..and from there your statement.
same mechanism with LDL and TG lowering drugs, bile acid resins and Fibrates respectively ..which also increase cholesterol GB stone (as a side effect). just a correlation.

HbA1C is related directly to the level of G/blood and form as a result of Non-enzyme glycosalytion.
however HbA1c level are affetced by RBC survival and turnoeevr.
So falsely increase value HbA1C can be obtain if RBC turnover is low, (or longer RBC life span) such as Iron, B12, folate deficiency animia.
