Response time to interview invitation - fmapplicant

Guys, how long does it take you before emailing a program your preferred date? I'm having trouble scheduling one program and I have only responded with my interest to interview with them but haven't given them an actual date. I'm concerned they might give the invitation they offered me to someone else if it takes me longer.

i think you should always respond very fast
i had a friend she call back next day morning they told her it is already filled and put her on waiting list!!!!
