schilling test is to differentiate between CAUSES of B12 def.
homocystiene levels will increase in B12 AND folate deficiencies.
Urine methylmalonic acid will increase in B12 deficiency & remain normal in folate deficiency.

indigirl is most correct w the answers (do we both sleep w rapid review under our pillows??)!;-)

'C" for sure vit b12 is cofactor for methylmalonylacid but not folic acid in odd short chain fatty acid degradation to enter TCA cycle through succinyl COA
