could you please someone discribe more about prelim positions?

They are position usually reserved for residents that have a PGY2 set such as anesthesia and neuro. Surgery prelim is brutal its usually just using then dumping you. Pre lim medicine is better however after a year you have no contract. transitional is the hardest and most coveted for its ease.
Do not bet on pre lim however if you get lucky and get it finding a second year position is much easier then matching. |
