paralysis of abductor muscles = deltoid and supraspinatus
paralysis of lateral rotator muscle = infraspinatus
paralysis of forearm pronator = biceps

mmc is traumatic delivery, also Erb's palsy and a violent stretch of the head away from the shoulder
