Hi, aayla
lets say BUN 60, Cr 2.0, BUN/Cr=60/2=30:1 , so ur ratio is 30;1
but let wait for the cardio
thanks

1. prerenal--> tubules are intact, they can reabsorb BUN , there is no reabsorption for creatinine (filtered and a bit secreted),--> so BUN is higher than Cr, you have a ratio >20;1

2. renal--> when tubules are affected--> BUN can't be reabsorbed --> ratio is < 20;1

3. postrenal --> at the beginning it is > 20;1 (tubules working ) but over time ` < 20;1

HiSmile great discussion,
@dexa nice job
@aayla, I got many Qs you can go to the search box and search for it. If dexa dissection has a foggy area you can bring it up.
