As a surgeon myself, I never injected lidocane on lateral wrist for finger injury. Always inject at lateral side of proximal MP joint. However, when you answer the q, you always try to think what information they try to test you. In this case, apparently, the q is trying to see if you remember the dermatome of radio nerve, which covers the 3 1/2 doral hand and from DIP above. SO IT HAS TO BE A, even in reality is not the case.
