for c..bt why wait when there's laceration and we dont know how much he's bleeding from it??
il stil go for F cos u just doing what u think is right for the pt

@doc499...u might be just right..nd it might be the most ethical thing to go ahead with the suturing...but it's the 'frame' of the answer that says 'consent is NOT NECESSARY..' that dint sit quite well with me...
consent in such situation IS 'necessary' ....but might not just be 'essential'..
we can go for "F" in the context of parents being absent on 2 bases:


1) 'in loco parentis' : physician may give minor emergency care to a minor assuming any reasonable parent wud agree to t/t
2) emergency consent: where physician acts the child's best interest...
