Although Cissna did not speak in specific terms about the H1B visa which is central to Indian migration into the US since the 1990s, the message was clear both for H1B visas and the huge question mark hanging over employment authorisation given to holders of H4 visas since 2015.

“If you look at temporary visa categories, yes, there's a lot of things that we can do and that we're going to do, for example, to increase protections of American workers,” Cissna said in an apparent reference to how the H1B and the H4 might be squeezed by the Buy American Hire American executive order.

H1B is what America need for progress. If the recruitment would be based on only merit, most probably most of the International Medical Graduates in residency would be with visa. Now, it is not. This is not good for the patients.
If you love your country (America), you would ask for the best doctors on earth (as USA can afford it) to treat American patients. If you are selfish, only then you will want the worse ones to get into residency.
I do not need visa to work in USA. So, I have no conflict of interest here.

Student life I agree but there r people here who need jobs. The pres and admin is for people here first. That’s the thing. Yeah I’m concerned but other countries have this rule too. Canada especially. The issue is now it got more strict now. It’s a tough year for everyone
