There can be some administrative problem may be....some faculty member's vacation....something like this. They are taking time for that, to find new dates.
They can not fill all the slots and keep interviewees on wait list.

am exactly in same position dude. i got iv invite on 25 and i prefered dates in nov. but now????? can u pl tell what they said when u called. thanks,

Hi..I got IV on 25rd, sent them mail on 26th for IVs in Nov, got back on 29th..
My credentials, 95/97 MPH, research..

Those SOBs said that all slots were filled.
So, she politely told me that I wouldbe kept on waiting list. And she was "oh so apologetic", repeatedly saying sorry etc. Load of crap.
