All genotypes containing HD gene ( homoz DD;p^2) -> frequency of homozygotes (DD;p^2) and heterozygotes (Dd;2pq) = disease frequency ( p^2 + 2pq = 0.0001 or 1/10,000). The frequency of homoz p^2 ~ “0”/SMALL and allele frequency q ~ “1” -> 2 x 1 = disease frequency that mean 2p (1) = 0.0001 or 2p = 0.0001 or ( p/2 = 0.0001/2 -> p = 0.00005
What “allele frequency” of the HD gene in U.S population? -> 0.00005 or 1/20,000

Cardio are you sure frequency of homozygous is p^2
As far as I know kaplan tells yhat p^2 is frequency of normal populationa and q^2 is prevalence of homogyzous

so it the same as lethal homozygot.
ya in kaplan:p2=homozygot normal&q2=homozygot affected
