Chocolate cyst is only formed when it involves the ovaries. (MC site)

When it is implanted elsewhere, presents as "yellow-brown with 'gun powder' nodules"

PCOS Findings:

Initially, increased LH --> acts on theca cells --> excess androgen production (--> hirtuism) --> androgen travels peripherally --> converted to estrone (in excess) in adipose tissue (--> endometrial carcinoma) --> feedback inhibition by estrone --> decrease FSH --> cystic degeneration of follicles
