what happens to liver when u block the hepatic vein?

portal hypertension develops, just like in Budd-chiari syndrome

bud chair is different usually is due to thrombosis and usually acute ~
other causes of Portal Hypertensive could take a while! so liver pathology could vary!

when u block the hepatic vein....liver gets congestes and u get budd chiari syndrome...

potal vein is before the liver if it is blocked nothing will be happened to liver, it carries bld from GIT.

thru hepatic vien blood goes into IVC so if u block the hepatic vein liver will be congested.pls correct me if i m wrong.
