no pyruvate carboxylase ....no gluconeogenesis...pyruvate has to be converted to alanine n lactate

I chose D as well. However, Kaplan chooses E. Explanation is that the symptoms are not consistent with PCD.
I did some research online and found out that both diseases have similar clinical symptoms. My conclusion is that this Q is not well written.
Answers for you guys confirm my hypothesis. thanks

if kaplan says PD is corect then it must be corect

nice q..
thinking of it now PD def would cause serious s/s but PC def would not be soooo bad.. and there shd be fasting hypoglycemia as a PC s/s...
thats what i think................
