JOB TITLE: Research Fellow in Neuroimaging and Multiple Sclerosis at Brigham and Women™s Hospital “ Harvard Medical School
DEPARTMENT: Neurology
UNIT or SECTION: Center for Neurological Imaging
REPORTS TO: Daniel Goldberg-Zimring, Ph.D.
GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Full-time research fellow needed for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies examining the imaging correlates of neurologic impairment in patients with multiple sclerosis. Responsibilities include computerized image analysis, data processing, archiving, and assisting with IRB documentation and research reports. A two-year commitment is required beginning April 1st, 2008.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Excellent computer skills, familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, UNIX and LINUX
- Experience with using image processing software to perform voxel based analysis of structural regional morphometry from MRI scans
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic neuroanatomy and neurology
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify potential problems and develop solutions
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Ability to work with and supervise others
QUALIFICATIONS:
M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent with background in neuroimaging
Willing to accept a full time two year commitment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal laboratory conditions
