Hirschprung or Achalasia?? - longislandmd2b

Does anyone know what the differences between Achalasia and Hirschprungs disease are? They lok the same to me, I knowI'm missing something.

achlahsia have lack of myenteric plexus & in hirshsprung's both myenteric & meissener's are missing.

Achalasia=lower esophageal sphicter; hirschprung=distal sigmoid and rectum

scg, are you sure that in hirschprung the ganglions of "meissener" neural plexus are absent?

according to BRS pathology, the pathophysiology of both of them is the absence of myentirc ganglion cells and just the place is different.

that's weir, because I am sure that it's absence of both myenteric(Auerbach) and submucusal(Meissner) ganglia!!! remeber both from Neural crest origin!! (key)
I check it in my Kaplan book and
Robbins too
