Sorry to hear about your story.
I have just cleared step 1 and I also work full time as a pediatrician in France. Now reading for CK and Cs this year.
For step 1, you really need time to read and read again, listen to 100% of goljan audio, and do a lot of qbanks. Step 1 is doable but you need to take at list 200 qs/day 2 months before your test.
Have you done UW, Kaplan test, There is also smashstep1 wich I found very helpfull. This qbank looks like UW interms of explanation and is cheaper.
But don't stop now. You have already passed CS and this is important.
When have you graduated? Is it possible for U to get some holidays from time to time and stick on step 1? It is not easy because you do feel tired and all depends on your age and committment, married, children? all is very important.
Good luck for your future tests.

never give up. i know people who took 4-5 time and they are practicing in hospital now. it is not the same when you hve 25 living with you parents without responsabilities of bills than when you have children full time job. when english is not you primary language things are more difficult. don't give up the recidence dependence of you score but one of the best thing is who recommend you and where you apply. one things that you have to see is when you do one question wrong check what you did wrong...1 did u understand the q. 2did you know the ans but you di it wrong? why . did you read the note. are you invest the time that you need for study? everybody is difference. just look for you way. keep reading even when you think that you can't why becouse when you come back from the botton thoses knowglege will be there. ....good luck.

When you are full time and studying, you are already doing more than the rest taking the exam. But you have to do even more and you definately can do it. I know it is tyring to sit with book after job but then again there is no way out except to it. You have to come up with a plan, study material and then stick with it. Prepare from KAPLAN notes and first aid. Study after work in a library (if you can). Study on weekends 12-14 hours. Do as many questions as you can, get em from where ever you can. I know a guyt from China, married with kids and working full-time and passed in 3rd attempt with 85%. Don't listen to people who say you can't do it. They say because they didn't do it. Anyone can do it and you will also.

Doctor, download the 2002 kaplan video lectures and Goljan audio to an mp3 player and listen during your commute to and from work, during break and while doing chores etc. Do 100-200 qs daily to consolidate what you have learned.
