my mnemonic 4 peritoneal & retroperitoneal organs - drfaizii
#1
First Ill give the mnemonic for stuctures derived from the three divions of the gut tube, namely forgut,midgut,hindgut

1.foregut : """ BILL & PEGGY ON LSD ""
(P=pancreas
E=esophagus
G=gallbladder
L=liver
S= stomach
D1,2 = duodenum 1 and 2nd parts
BILL = Biliary apparatus

2.midgut = JAILED CAT
( J=jejunum
A=appendix
il=ileum
D=duodenum 2,3,4 parts
C=cecum
A=asc colon
T=trans colon prox 2/3

3.hindgut = DESCENDING RATS
(D=desc colon
R=Rectum
A=Anus
T=trans colon distal 1/3
S=sigmoid colon

you can all combine this into one,or just remember it by divisions
another way to remember this would be " bill and peggy on LSD,WITH A JAILED CAT WHO COULDNT DESCEND WITH RATS"

BLOOD SUPPLY
FORGUT = CELIAC TRUNK """ 4 CEILINGS """""
MIDGUT = SMA
HINDGUT = IMA

Midgut and hindgut remind me of an indian girl's name "Sima"

NEXT....

MAJOR PERITONEAL ORGANS---
...ALL FORGUT STRUCTURES EXCEPT ESOPGAUS
...JAIL + Trans Colon OF MIDGUT (Ticket collecter in JAIL)
...ONLY SIGMA from hindgut

MAJOR SECONDARY RETROPERITONEAL ORGANS
Most of duodenum
most of pancreas
asc colon
desc colon
upper rectum

HMM..i see the word DAM in this list,so i think of building DAMS in these 5 organs or already have BEAVERS working on the dams there. (LOLZZZ)

MAJOR PRIMARY RETROPERITONEAL ORGANS
1.Kidney
2.adrenal
3.ureter
4.aorta
5.inf vena cava
6.lower rectum
7.Anal canal

2 ways to remember this list ...
NUMBER 1 - i see the word KUALA and IA ,SO I think off "KUALA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES"

OR
NUMBER 2 :
IMAGINE.... A KUALA living in your kidney,climbs up to your ADRENAL GLAND,slides down your URETER,goes thru the INF VENA CAVA to FIXXX your LOWER RECTUM AND ANAL CANAL,AND HEADS BACK TO THE AORTA to reach back to the kidney. Smile)))

hope you enjoy this,
i remember it this way,and im posting this,coz this list has been bugging me for quiet some time,... if you like it,use it, if you have a better one, please post it . Smile))

enjoy guys
