Estrogen and progestin (100 µg of ethinyl estradiol and 0.5 mg of levonorgestrel given twice, with 12 hours between doses) Overall 75% pregnancy prevented

The earlier that hormone pills are taken for emergency contraception within a 72-hour period after unprotected intercourse, the more effective they are likely to be

According to Premier Review:
Plan A: within 72 hours, 2 combination pills and repeat dose in 12 hours
Plan B: within 72 h Levonorgestrel 0.75 mg 2 doses 12 hours apart (fewer side effects, but is still called plan B)
Plan C: RU486 (Mifepristone)-anti progestestin 600 mg orally followed by vaginal or oral prostaglandin within 36-48 hours has 95% success up to 9 weeks post coital!
hope it answers you question
