2 or more neurofibromas of any type or 1 plexiform neurofibroma
Freckling in the axillary or inguinal regions
Optic glioma
2 or more Lisch nodules (iris hamartomas)
A distinctive osseous lesion such as sphenoid dysplasia or thinning of the long bone cortex with or without pseudarthrosis

epidural - hemorrhage above duramater involving the middle meningeal artery when there is a truama to the temporal bone, as in skull fracture causing laceration of middle meningeal artery, there is a lag period , where there is loss of conciousneess folowwed by a period of normal concious. its again a medical emergency as it compresses the adjacent brain structure.
