Comes into the clinic complaining of loss of appetite, and generalized fatigue. Jaundice and a yellow sclera is found on physical examination, along with many vascular lesions. Lab findings show AST>ALT. How can you explain the formation of the vascular lesions?

alcoholi--->lever knocked out-->decreased synthesis of coagilation factors maily 2 7 9 10....coagulation disorder...vascular leasions

also spider angioma..a type of vascular leasion...due to decreased metablism of estrogen...estrogen accumulates...forms spider angiomas whch is similar to spiral coils it forms in endometrium..also a leasion is palmer erythema

Bravo harsh- classic findings in a cirrhotic patient; but we must always remember that they expect us to know these, and will test mainly on pathogenesis and mechanism based questions. Good job
