my friend is a first year at mountainside, this is her response to an email that i sent inquiring about the program..
Hey yeh i didnt see you at mountainside over the summer. so i assume you're applying for the IM program here since you emailed me? or are u applying as a prelim? The interview itself is not difficult at all. You get 2 interviews, one with the program director and one with one of the associate program directors. I don't remember what questions they ask specifically but definitely no medical questions. I do remember them asking questions focusing on your personality...like how you get along with others, how you deal with conflict, stuff like that. My program director hates the typical black suit white shirt outfit everyone wears. She feels everyone looks the same and it's so boring. You also go on a tour with one of the residents which could be any of us including me. And we give our feedback to the PD as well.

and its in a wonderful locality in northern NJ... very safe.
