hi
i think u are in cleveland can u gimme some input about how u feel about Fairview Hospital?? please help me .....need urgent sincere advise!

Fairview is one of the Cleveland Clinic's hospital (but its residency program is independent of CCF). It is 499 bed hospital, extremely well equipped, awefully neat and clean inside, very beautiful working environment, ABIM passing rate 100% ifor last 2 years, few folks went for fellowship, some research opportunity at clinical level, no basic science research, the PD is a much famous infectious disease specialist with adjunct appointment as Professor of ID in Ohio State University, and associate professor of CWRU. Very good clinical research opportunity in endocrionology led by Dr. Taylor (I am not sure if I spelled his nmae correctly). Located in a good neighbourhood, cheap accomodation, free parking, free on-call meal, offer the opportunity to attend the live course at CCF for board preparation.
They do everything in their hospital except cardiac transplant, there cardiac surgery unit is one of the top in the nation, they are one of the top 100 hospitals in the US. All these that I mentioned is about internal medicine. They have 10-12 positions for IM, somehow distributed logically for Indian and Arab (syrian and egyptian) folks with couple for european candidates. They pay you highest salary in Northe East Ohio, they pay ~46,000/year for PGY1. They invite nationally known physicians as speakers for their grand rounds. People are easy going...good security (because last year a patient's visitor raped 3 visitors at one night, I wonder how he raped 3 visitors at one night without being caught red handed, I wish I could meet that guy to get few real lfe tips !!! lol  Did I give you enough input to accept their prematch ?
