Qualified Citizens and GC Doctors - change
#21
crap we work crazy hard to get those 99 and the imgs who dont get those high scores dont even think abt pursuing the dream further there is no corruption here its just skewed statistics

i dont know why u gc and citzens are feeling so threatened believe me the amount of struggle we go thru just to clear these exams is unimaginable

and then to somehow not waste the money spent in these exams(which is comparatively very high to earning of any img in his home country ) we try to build up the resume with usce and phds and mph

i got a very low score in step one was depressed for over a year and still havent gathered the courage to apply

so there is a huge spectrum of acheivers and and not so succcessful imgs
hang on no need for bitterness

recession for u guys must be something new for most of the imgs its normal way of living

where is your proof that all img's that apply get a position?

NRMP match result is the proof that how many citizens have been denied over visa needing IMG.

Many progams donot even bother to give IV to high scorer Citizen and give rather to visa needing img.Whats the logic here?

BTW step 3 score should still be taken seriously b/c a steep decline compared to step 1&2 scores will be looked upon unfavorably when applying for fellowships!

Number of US Citizens/GC IMG applied in 2008= 2969

Matched= 1541

Unmatched= 1428

Number of NON-US Citizens/GC IMG applied in 2008= 7335

Matched= 3108

Just think about those 1428 applicants who could get their positions if they hired..

3108-1428= 1680 IMG's

technically you can do for this is, like a lawyer want to win a case, need some strategies.
Like 1: set up a association and sue all the programs that issued or will issue H-1b. Filed the issue in one state and may can force other programs to change...

2. keep writing to media and congressman to change the law about j-1 on resident training program. 'cause right now USA is not the richest country anymore and it is no the time to train doctors for other countries. So this country need to stop issue j-1 to them. As obama mentioned to stop give money around the world.

Maybe it will work.

still remember about 5- 10 years ago that only GC or J-1 IMG get into the training. People will surprise a guy who pass the exam and could not find a program.

Also a lot of cases of bad residents were kicked off the program.....
