Is it true that many time they take IMG's to later fire them and their departments keep government funds allocated for their education.......and redistribute as bonuses among attendings in the institutions?

Ihave known several IMG's get accepted into programs to later get thrown out and never able to be re-hired cause their programs disappeared their CMS allocate funds.

can you name a few precedents please? Will be interesting to know..
salary bonuses consequent to residency funds is an interesting proposition..However, how can residency programs do this thingy of hiring and closing program ( for funds redistribution) repeatedly? I seriously doubt if use of residency money under any other head except training purpose is possible! And yeah its TAX payers money who are these days very proactive in reclaiming any medicare related expenditure... so may be these residency guys need to keep distance from fellas here GC/Citizens in this forum

medicare pays the programs per year per person, if they kick someone out, they will hire someone else instead or wont get paid for a vacant position.
