Research Associate 1
The LSU Health Sciences Center/Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center has an immediate opening for a Research Associate1. Incumbent will study cancer biology and DNA repair with molecular biology techniques. In addition to Western blotting and transfection, the incumbent will also assist the on-going study by senior investigators, namely analysis of gene expression with RT-PCR and purification of proteins. The task will include DNA cloning and Western blotting. The Research Associate 1 in this position will also need sophisticated computer skills and record keeping.
Required: Bachelor's degree in a basic or health science.
Desired: Same as above with previous experience in a molecular biological lab.
