Experience of Zerry33: 84/204

I am old graduate doing full time research. Failed Step3 twice, both time prepared for only 15 days. This time I had an interview in the last week of October. Suddenly realized I must pass Step3. Immediately applied and booked dates for the exam- Dec 30 & 31. Started reading from Nov 1, made my calendar of reading on Nov4.

Material used for exam prep:
1. MTB
2. UW Qbank+CCS
3. UW assessment test
4. Listened to some Archer talks (mostly it is revision of what you are studying, nothing more)
5. Short notes of Kaplan Qbank (from early exam!) and of UW Qbank

Prep calendar:

Nov 4 Start effective reading and do Qbank questions
Nov 21 complete first reading of MTB
Dec 4 complete UW Qbank question: 60% correct, 46th percentile
Dec 5 start practicing UW CCS cases, and revision of UW Qbank
Dec 9 end of second MTB reading
Dec 10 UW self assessment: 510/220, 53% correct
Dec 17 end of first round practice of UW CCS cases (93)
Dec 21 end of second round of UW Qbank: 68% cumulative, 70th percentile. (Otherwise 77% correct)
Dec 22 start doing all incorrect UW questions
Dec 23 end of third MTB reading
Dec 24 end of second round practice of UW CCS cases (93)
Dec 25 end of all incorrect question to zero incorrect Qbank:71% cumulative, 76th percentile.(83%).
Dec 26 end of second round practice of UW CCS cases (93)
Dec 29 end of fourth MTB reading
Dec 30-31 Exam

Jan 19 result: 84/204. Dear God, Thank you very much.

If you prepare well, you will be able to understand questions. Although sometimes you may not be able to answer them!

But if I can pass this exam, you definitely can! Good luck to you all.
