DO V NEED TO GIVE BOTH HEP A AND B VACCINE TO EVERY HIV POSITIVE PATIENT IF HE IS SERONEGATIVE FOR BOTH?

NO....ONLY IN CASE OF SUSPECTED EXPOSURE....

HIV pts who are homosexuals should get Hep A vaccine...that m sure of
would give them hep B too...i guess

AND PTS WHO HAVE HEPATITIS B AND C......SHUD B GIVEN HEP A VACC.....OTHERWISE THEY WUD SUFFER FRM A FULMINANT HEPATITIS A....

I agree with paprika... they shud receive BOTH HEP A and HEP B (Pg 230 Kaplan IM) irrespective of there serology titre.

i think u need to check hep a and b serology and if seronegative give both hep a and b.this is irrespective of if he is homosexual or not.

thats right ,just check the titres and give them the vaccine....hep a to patients with high risk ,,i dont think there would be any problem in givin hep a to all hiv pts anyway irrespective of type of sex.

they shud get vaccine only if they are seronegative.....wts the use of givin vaccine if they already have the disease or have antibodies being a carrier..
