they must do upper GI endoscopy per 2-3 years for early getting any dysplasia, and when they find low grade dysplasia, after that should do endoscopy per 3-6 months and see if it is progressing or resolving. If there is high degree displasia they should do resection cz it can become a carcinoma.

and of course they must take PPI

The workup starts like this
1- endoscopy twice ( every 6 months) in the first 1 year after the diagnosis of Barrette's esophagus. 2- every 2-3 years endoscopy . then proceed accordingly if the endoscope result changes. |
