Could you tell me the process of obtaining a J1 visa?
I'm a student of a foreign med school & am a Canadian citizen. I'll be in the NRMP match of 2006.
I'm writing the MCCEE in january'06.
After obtaining a contract with a US residency program & Passing the MCCEE... how difficult is it to obtain a statement of need from HEalth Canada??

How difficult is it to obtain a J1 visa for a Canadian??
I don't think i will be going for an H1b visa; as the progs I'm interested at do not offer H1b.

The easyest is to call Health Canada. 1-800-xxx . ask them that you need a statement of need. The'll explain you the details. They told me that they would issue with no problems it if you have passed MCCEE. my e-mail: esit@softhome.net . You dont need any lawyers in this case.
