Hi Cardio, do you mind explaining why potassium excretion is increased? I would have thought that H and K are exchanged and since H is high will be lost in the urine and K retained. Thnks a lot

I try to explain :
Acetazolamide decrease Na/H antiport -------Increase Na in lumen-----Increase diuresis

Secondary increase aldosterone -promotes the secretion of H+ by the intercalated cells of the collecting dust and K+ secterion by the principal cells,in blood will be hypokalemia.
