According to MTB, the only definitive cure in these conditions is delivery of the baby and removal of all fetal-placental tissue. However, what if the pregnancy was less than 36 weeks, then what would you do? Would you just treat the same way except delivering the baby? Do you add tocolytics or steroids for lung maturity? I always get confused with this. Can someone please explain it to me?

for preclampsia you treat with anti HTN, seizure prophylaxis ,steroids and tocolytics till term...if worsening then deliver
for eclampsia...stabilize pt with anti HTN, seizures meds, steroids then once stabilized..set up for delivery no mater what term the baby's at.

Oh I see. So for eclampsia and HELLP there's no choice but for the baby to be born prematurely right?

yep ..for both stabilize pt first then immediate delivery..you can give steroids as well but won't be as effective as in preeclampsia where you trying to delay delivery till baby reaches 34 weeks.
