Erosion vs Ulcer - 3usmlesteps

If Erosion is not completely thru Muscularis Mucosa and Ulcer is when it goes past the muscularis mucosa into submucosa where you have the blood vessels so why would acute Erosive gastropathy cause upper GI hemorrhage when it doesn't go up to the submucosa?

Are both phases of drug metabolism in liver?

Does phase 2 drug metabolism happen in liver but get's elimianted thru Kidney? Or does it take place in kidney?
