A 38 y/o M present to you with severe swelling of lip, scrotum and face. No hives are found. Pat taking lisinopril for HTN and not responsive to hydrochlorothiazide. Pat complement level C2 & C4 ↓.

Initial therapy for yr pat?

a) Furosemide
b) Prednisone
c) Epinephrine
d) Diphenhydramine
e) FFP
f) Loratadine

Infusion of FFP acute episodes
Doc for chronic episodes 'Ecallantide'* for HA
Also androgens are also use ( INC C1 esterase INH)
Most common out in real world Stanazol/Danazol/ and androgens.

*Ecallantide recombinant plasma kallikrein inhibitor more potent & selective than C1-INH administered SC.
