10 yr prospective study b/w effect of supplementary folic acid consumption and risk of developing Alzheimer's dementia gives a RR=0.77 (95% C.I = 0.59-0.98). Which of the following P values most likely corresponds to the results reported by the investigator?

a) 0.03
b)0.05
c) 0.07
d) 0.09
e) 0.15

A. 0.03
CI did not include a null value so the study is statistically significant so p value should be less than 0.05
0.03 is the only value less than 0.05

Thank you dctrclvr, but I thought study would reach statistical significance if p value is less than or equal to 0.05.

p value is significant only if it is less than 0.03
